Jenny Rice 

Jenny Rice is a ceramicist whose work explores the exchange between intention and the natural qualities of clay. Through the meditative process of coil building, she allows gravity, time, temperature, and humidity to shape each piece, giving rise to unexpected curves and seemingly human gestures. Embracing these unplanned movements allows her to loosen the desire for perfection and control. Her more deliberate approach to surface treatments brings balance to the process, creating forms shaped by both spontaneity and intention.
