HOW DOES SHIPPING FOR LARGE FURNITURE PIECES WORK?

The Selby House offers In-Home White Glove Delivery for larger furniture pieces. This includes delivery by appointment to your home, placement in your room of choice (including one flight of stairs), unpacking, and removal of all packaging materials. Please note that some artworks and mirrors may be excluded and quoted separately due to their weight and fragile nature.

If you are interested in expedited shipping or purchasing from outside the U.S., please inquire here to discuss available options and pricing.

When your item is ready for delivery, an agent will contact you to arrange a time within a four-hour window. Deliveries to rural areas may have limited route availability, which could extend delivery timelines.

To prepare for delivery

  • Please be available to provide a signature upon receipt
  • Ensure a clear path for the delivery team to navigate
  • Note that the delivery team cannot move or remove existing furniture

WHEN WILL MY PIECES SHIP, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE, AND ARE THEY INSURED?

The Selby House contracts third-party delivery providers for our In-Home White Glove service. Delivery timelines to most locations within the contiguous U.S. average 4-6 weeks. All pieces purchased using In-Home White Glove Delivery are insured. These carriers are responsible for handling your items in transit. The Selby House is not liable for any damage incurred during shipment. 

HOW DOES SHIPPING FOR HOME DECOR OBJECTS WORK?

At checkout, buyers can select flat-rate shipping based on the size of the object:

  • Small/Mini Objects: $10
  • Medium Objects: $15
  • Large Objects: $25 - $60 

We package and ship via UPS Ground, with an estimated delivery time of 5–8 business days.

IN-HOME WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY SERVICES

White Glove Delivery includes in-home placement and debris removal, but does not include moving or removing other furniture. Clients are responsible for having the space prepped and accessible prior to delivery. Additional fees may apply for deliveries involving multiple flights of stairs.

  • White Glove providers do not rearrange furniture or remove items from the home.
  • If you live in a building with specific insurance or COI requirements, please confirm those prior to placing your order. If the delivery team cannot meet the building’s requirements, delivery will be limited to the front doorstep.
  • The Selby House is not responsible for missed or rescheduled deliveries due to incomplete building paperwork. Any additional shipping charges resulting from special access needs, COI requirements, rural delivery zones, or oversized/extra-heavy objects are the responsibility of the purchaser.

INSPECTION AND DAMAGE POLICY

The shipping carrier is responsible for inspecting products at pickup. Any visible damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at the time of pickup. Once signed, the BOL confirms the carrier’s acceptance of the item in its condition at origin.

Upon delivery

  • Items must be inspected within 48 hours
  • If damage is found, please contact cat@theselbyhouse.com within 48 hours and include detailed photos
  • Liability transfers to the third-party carrier once the item is picked up; The Selby House is not responsible for any damage incurred during transit or at delivery
