The iconic Groovy chair, designed for Artifort and also known as the M chair, is a first edition model designed with soft sculptural curves. The piece has been reupholstered in a Rogers & Goffigon Boucle.
About Pierre Paulin
Born in Paris, Paulin moved to Burgundy after University to train as a stone carver with plans to become a sculptor. He was recruited to work at Artifort and encouraged to develop pieces combining light durable materials with sculptural forms. By the 1960's Paulin’s name was well known throughout Europe and the Americas prompting commissions and design work for elite clients.
