A pair of vintage 'MR20' cantilevered cane armchairs by Mies van der Rohe for Knoll International. This chair is a version of the chair Mies presented in 1927 at the Stuttgart Weissenhof Estate — a seminal Werkbund exhibition in Germany. The MR20 chair has become an icon of modernist design, known for its clean lines, elegant simplicity, and timeless appeal. 

About Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
A pioneering modernist architect and designer who helped to shape the course of 20th-century architecture. Born in Germany, he worked in his native country before emigrating to the United States in 1937. Mies van der Rohe was known for his elegant, minimalist style, which emphasized the use of modern materials such as steel and glass. He was a leading figure of the Bauhaus school of design, and his work had a profound influence on modern architecture and design.
