This Grasshopper Chair by Eero Saarinen, a Finnish-American architect and industrial designer during the 1940's for Knoll International, was designed with a simple, yet bold and innovative form. It was a departure from traditional lounge chairs of the time. Known for its distinctive curved legs, organic shape, and playful look, the  chair is an icon of late 20th Century design. It has been refinished and reupholstered in an ivory Icelandic sheepskin by the Selby House.

A renowned Finnish-American architect and industrial designer celebrated for his modernist innovations and sculptural forms. Among his iconic furniture designs is the Grasshopper Chair (1946), a sleek lounge chair with flowing, bentwood legs and plush upholstery, exemplifying his commitment to blending organic shapes with functionality.
