Rare Cabinet from the U-450 series by Jiří Jiroutek
A mid-century cabinet No. U-450 designed by Jiří Jiroutek made of ash, birch, fabric, and steel. The cabinet features a flip-top concealing storage with venting along the underside.
The cabinet comes from the famous Universal series (U-450), designed in 1958 for the Czechoslovak national company Interior Praha. The success of the Czech pavilion at the Brussels Ex-’58 was followed by the rise of the modernist style called ‘Brussels style.’
