A rare swivel tub chair by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates. The chair features a circular ebonized walnut swivel base that ascends to a button seat back with biscuit tufted detailing. New foam cushions and padding have been added along with new upholstery; a Pierre Frey celadon cotton velvet.
A New York born architect and furniture designer who founded Craft Associates, one of the leading furniture manufactures of its time, in his basement. Pearsall not only helped define Mid-Century Modern but the idea that function doesn't have to be sacrificed for beauty; clean lines, organic shapes, and soft curves. In 2008, he was inducted into the American Furniture Hall of Fame.
